Pure gypsum sand dunes form along western boundary of White Sands National Monument. Home to lizards, kit fox, mice and porcupine, the western dunes are rarely marked by human footprints. They look much like they have for thousands of years.

Cannoli, one of 200 alpacas living at Victory Ranch in Mora, just had to find out if what I had in my hand was edible. Curious, gentle and lovable, alpacas at the ranch contribute their fleece to a successful fiber business.
